Congratulations on! Richard Mellville Hall
Today, September 11, is the birthday of one of the great (subjectively, of course) DJs and electronic composers in the world, who independently wrote a huge number of singles and soundtracks of various genres, Richard “Moby” Hall. With his talent he conquered, if not everyone, then many, mainly due to the fact that all of his singles, just spinning in his head after listening to at least one of them, he wrote independently using various musical instruments, such as bass, keyboards, drums and guitar. Today this charming man turns 49 years. Of course, the event is significant, and a blog dedicated to it must be written (I think so), so sit back, press “Play” and wish you a pleasant reading this unfortunate copy-paste

Even if you’re not a fan of his and don’t listen to electronic music, you can warm up to this guy. Unlike many other musicians, he is modest, shy and not narcissistic, which does not prevent him from being talented and simply cool and charming. And Moby is attractive because he bears little resemblance to the average pop musician. Agree, if you imagine the image of a clichéd musician, the image of some Bieber may pop up for you, but definitely not an intellectual bespectacled man who likes to touch on topics of philosophy, religion and the meaning of life. =) Yes, after watching some interviews with him, you will immediately notice a very educated and smart husband.
Hall was born in Harlem, New York, but grew up in Connecticut. He was raised by his mother, since his father died in a car accident when he was 2 years old. And even from childhood, his mother saw his musical talent, and at the age of 9 Richard began taking piano and guitar lessons. He chose the pseudonym “Moby” because he claims to be a distant descendant of Herman Mellville, who wrote his famous novel “Moby Dick.”.
As a teenager, he played punk, https://stonevegas.uk/bonus/ just started his journey in electronic music and released his creations in the form of techno records. However, he gained great fame thanks to his single "Go" and his treatment of the famous James Bond theme, to such an extent that he was included in the top popular musicians. And despite this, not wanting anything to do with pop, he plunged even deeper into alternative genres of music. Yes, the guy’s life didn’t change much when he became famous.

In the early nineties, Moby began to carefully experiment with electronic music, thereby gaining wide popularity not only in America, but throughout the world. He mixed punk rhythms, heavy guitars and fast disco rhythms. And what distinguishes him from other musicians is that the musician writes from the heart. Most often, he wrote soundtracks for films, and of very high quality. Just his Extreme Ways, the main theme of the Jason Bourne film series. Moby writes all his music in his home studio and mixes it in studios with analog equipment. Richard himself admits that it takes him 8-9 hours a day to write music. And since he plays his own music, rock bands support him at concerts.
Moby is a vegetarian with considerable experience – 20 years, and he also has his own restaurant. The musician reads a lot – from philosophy to science fiction, and while traveling, he acquires various literature. Favorite work is “The Idiot” by Fyodor Ivanovich Dostoevsky.
Hall says that the commercial success of his music is no longer important to him, no matter how many records are sold, he just writes music that he likes and tries to keep it “without lies.”. By himself, he is open, pleasant, interesting, sincere and, which is very rare, free from dogma. And he can give a very interesting answer to any stupid question from journalists.

Moby never strained to achieve any success, despite the fact that his path was very difficult. Today, Hall has 12 studio albums, about 30 million copies of singles and collections sold, hits fill the airwaves of various radio stations, and the soundtracks he wrote for films and TV series can be considered for a long time. Undoubtedly, Moby is a musician of the newest format.
Today he turns 49 years old. I would like to wish him health, happiness, good luck, longevity, so that he remains as he is and continues to write worthy music.
