After watching the trailer, some people had a lot of questions that needed answers, and so we decided to look at the debut trailer for the third part Assassin’s Creed, Perhaps this is where you will find what you are looking for.
The most important question for those who watched the trailer: is it a CG trailer, the answer is simple – no, the trailer was made entirely on a new version of the Anvil engine, although slightly embellished. However, even this allows us to evaluate how graphically Assassin’s Creed stepped forward.
A little about the game:
The main character is Connor, he was born to a Native American mother but his father is English. He lived in his mother’s native tribe, but with the arrival of the colonialists the tribe was slaughtered and he miraculously survived. The game spans the period of the American Civil War, the game will demonstrate events from 1753 to 1783.
At the beginning of the trailer we see the inscription “Mohawk Valley” on the left, as was known from the article GameInformer these are the native lands of our main character, t.e. these are his native lands in which he feels at home, this is his forest, his element and he is not a victim here, but a hunter.
In the next frame we see fragments https://nongamstopsites.uk/ of the defeated detachment in the morning, and its attack at night, but let’s start in the morning. We see the English flag, the dead bodies of soldiers scattered along the road and a pack of wolves that are gnawing the remains of the fallen. I wouldn’t like to guess, but the experience of playing Red Dead Redemption tells us that (possibly) wolves will play the role of some scavengers, who after the battle can always come to the battlefield to profit from the remains of your enemies, and if our hero lingers there, he will have to defend himself so as not to become a victim of a hungry pack.
At night, we observe an attack on this very detachment, as is clear from the trailer, it is advisable for us to choose attack tactics, in our case this happened point-blank, without Robin Hood techniques, tree traps and other robber technologies. We saw a spectacular attack by the main character, a quick and deadly reprisal of the patrol, however, the last two murders were shown not so much to demonstrate quick execution, but for showiness; nevertheless, if desired, the assassin can kill the entire English patrol in less than a minute.
The hidden blade was not demonstrated in the trailer, but this does not mean that the developers have said goodbye to it; perhaps later in the game the main character will discover the secret development of his ancestors and will use it (after all, the game covers a fairly large period of time). Thus, the main weapon and most likely the “symbol” of the protagonist will be a deadly tomahawk, which our hero wields quickly, deftly and uses for its intended purpose. In the second hand we can see a dagger, most likely it can also be used for skinning animals, but again, perhaps this is just the initial equipment of our protagonist.
Next, we see how the new hero has deftly mastered his new habitat, and instead of jumping on buildings, he quickly moves through the trees. Above I took a screenshot in which he, while running, deftly jumps onto another log B GameInformer wrote that there will be many variations of animation that will allow you to look at acrobatics in a new light, and if this technique is not made specifically for the trailer, then we will have a very rich set of new animations and jumping through trees will not be as boring as we imagined.
As the developers promised us, the new version of the graphics engine will be able to process up to 1000 NPCs on the screen, i.e.e. we will actually be able to watch a real battle. But will this battle be credible, and if we stay to sit and watch until the end, what will happen next, the winners of the battle will gather their fallen friends, set up a camp and take their bodies to the city for burial? For me this is the main question, because as it is written in the magazine GameInformer we will be able to watch more than one big battle of that period of time. One more question remains, whether the main character will necessarily take part in these battles (I mean, one way or another, the plot will lead him to the battlefield, as a fighter or observer).
At the end of the trailer we hear the speech of George Washington, the great American commander and figure who played a big role in the fate of America. What role will he play in the war between the Assassins and Templars, and will he even have a role in this event?? We can get answers to these questions in the game itself, but for now I suggest you watch the trailer again, anyone should listen to his speech, after such words you really begin to believe in freedom and want to fight to the death for it. This is how our trailer ends – the beginning of the battle for freedom.
After the Assassin’s Creed 3 trailer, there is a certain impression of understatement; I want to believe that all the promises of Ubisoft and the beautiful words of GameInformer will come true, and all the hints about gameplay in the trailer will turn out to be true. For me, a lot remains in question, because a big game awaits us, which will give a lot of history and the opportunity to take part in this story.
